Man Arrested For Flashing Laser Light At Police Helicopter In Flint, MI, USA
This footage was filmed and produced 17 March 2023.
A man in Flint, Michigan, allegedly pointed a laser at a Michigan State Police helicopter flying over the city on March 17th.
The crew traced the source to a residence on Nelson Street, where ground troopers arrested the 31-year-old suspect. The man could face up to five years in prison for the felony charge of pointing a laser at an aircraft.
Michigan State Police say that pointing lasers at aircraft can be dangerous, as it can temporarily blind the flight crew and potentially cause a crash. This incident follows a similar case in Flint last summer
