The high tides known as the King Tides' is exceptionally high tides that occur during a new or full moon, has arrived in the Pacific Northwest coastal area on Monday, January 11. The National Weather Service issued High Surf Warnings for the coastal area in Oregon, Washington, and parts of California, and has been predicting that when the sea peaks, floods may occur in the lowlands along the coast.36 sec video (2 clips) .
