Northwest High School Shooting Incident

A shooting incident occurred at Northwest High School, located on Crown Point Ave, Omaha. An ambulance was immediately requested for a 15-year-old who was shot in the abdomen but remained conscious. The incident happened inside the school, with the suspect, a black male dressed in a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a white shirt, fleeing the scene through a side door. The school was put on lockdown and secured, with officers reviewing all available camera footage. Additional medical units were requested to be on standby at the scene. The suspect was later found and taken into custody near the 81st and Bauman Avenue area. The school initiated a careful and systematic clearing of each classroom and began a reunification process for students and their families.
