Fountain Nymph and Horse at Montagnola - 4K stock video
Pincio Fountain. Executed by Diego Sarti and Pietro Veronesi, based on a design by Muggia and Azzolini, it represents a sensual nymph in the tentacles of an octopus. She is also called "the Giant's wife" or “la moglie del Gigante”, that is, of Neptune. The definition probably arose from the sonnet that Giosuè Carducci dedicated to the work: "Ah my king! your caress / I ask in vain, I am taken down: / And my beauty was in vain / As your virtue is in vain". The fountain is at the base of the Pincio stairs, Montagnola Park, Bologna, Italy
