The US special envoy for climate change has met with top Chinese officials, both sides said, in an effort to convince Beijing to commit to greenhouse gas emissions cut, but China has stood firm in its position that the bulk of the responsibility for emissions cuts lies with developed nations, while not clearly ruling out making some cuts of its own.
