Washington, UNITED STATES: The hit French documentry "March of the Penguins" plays at the historic Uptown movie theater 17 August 2005 in Washington, DC. In the US market, it has already become the second highest-grossing documentary of all time, behind Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11". The stars of the documentary are emperor penguins, of which an estimated 350,000 live in Antarctica. They are unique among penguins for being the only ones to breed during the long, dark winter, and their family lives make for fascinating viewing.
