Surviving Life's Unpredictable Storms in July Guideposts

NEW YORK - JUNE 28: The July issue of Guideposts magazine features a cover story by The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore sharing his true story of the two severe storms that collided in his family's life. Out-of-the-blue Jim's wife Tammy was diagnosed with Parkinson's and they had barely grasped the meaning of that when a genetic counselor broke the news that their two young children were suffering from a rare condition called fragile X syndrome. The reality of the devastation storms can bring is all too familiar to weathermen, like Jim, but so is seeing people find the power within themselves to pick up and carry on.
