A Somali militiaman guards the port of Mogadishu 08 February 2005 during the visit of Parliament Speaker Shariif Hassan Sheikh Aden. A sniper fired a shot at Mogadishu port his visit though no one was injured, a military commander said. Aden heads the 275-member transitional parliament in the country to assess conditions for the government relocation from Nairobi, where it operates from, because many members consider Mogadishu too dangerous. The African Union (AU) has authorized an east African body to deploy troops to help the new Somali government, exiled in Kenya, relocate to its war-shattered country, according to an official statement issued 08 February 2005.
