Suspects Caught In Missle Sale
NEWARK, NJ - AUGUST 13: A plane lands at Newark International Airport August 13, 2003 in Newark, New Jersey. Hemant Lakhani, one of three men arrested on August 12, was charged with attempting to sell a Russian-made surface-to-air-missile to an undercover FBI agent posing as a Muslim extremist. The other two suspects, Yehuda Abraham, a New York City jeweler, and Moinuddeen Ahmed Hameed of Malaysia, were charged separately on money laundering and conspiring to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business, respectively. The investigation began months ago with cooperation between U.S., British and Russian authorities culminating in the arrest of the three suspects. The missle, a SA-18, is a heat seeking missle designed to destroy airplanes an helicopters. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)
