Jurgen Prinz von Anhalt (1942-2008) at work on one of his "Jet Art" paintings at Miami International Airport in May, 1984. Anhalt (born Jurgen Richter) flings paint into the jet stream of a Boeing 707 airliner and the blast disperses the colors on a canvas. His works are said to have sold for as much as $US250,000.Anhalt, who purchased his princely title from a German Countess and his wife Amelia were both found guilty in 2007 of violating the Ontario Securities Commissions Act in the selling of shares in a Canadian diamond exploration company and sentenced to prison terms.
