Israeli artist Nir Avigad poses in front of his art installation composed of 150 drawings of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler at an exhibition at Jerusalem's Bezalel Institute of Art on July 21, 2008. According to Israel's Haaretz newspaper, the drawings raised the ire of the Center for Holocaust Survivor Organizations in Israel. Avigad defended his provocative work, saying, "Just like Marilyn Monroe is an icon of beauty, the Dalai Lama is an icon of peace and Mother Teresa is an icon of mercy, is Hitler an icon - an icon of evil.", the newspaper reported.
