Cleaning Nelson's Column
For the first time in over a hundred years Nelson's statue has a clean face. Several days of sand blasting have revealed scars from the last war there's a shrapnel wound just over his left eye and some on his hat. Stone worker Ted Chambers tools a little time off today from cleaning to study London as he viewed from the top of Nelson's Column with a telescope, 2nd March 1968.
