Photo shows Mrs. Desanka Mohorovicic, and her two-year-old daughter, Visna, and her two-week-old baby Jesse. Jesse was born in a lifeboat on the heaving Atleantic after the passenger-cargo ship on which the mother was traveling was torpedoed by an undersea craft. Mrs. Mohorovicic was moved to a lifeboat and Doctor Leonard H. Conly, who was the ship's surgeon, performed the operation while he had two broken ribs. Jesse, was born prematurely and can be seen in this picture.
