Liberia imposes Ebola quarantine and curfew in Monrovia
HA WS, West Point peninsula is now quarantined. To contain the spread of Ebola in the community the Government of Liberia is quarantining West Point and Waterside Market. The PSU entered West Point this morning to get the commissioner out. They succeeded in extracting her, but a crowd started throwing rocks as they were leaving. On Saturday, August 15, community members looted an isolation center setup by the Ministry of Health at a school build by USAID. Patients, contaminated mattresses and other materials were released in the facility. To contain the spread of Ebola in the community the Government of Liberia is quarantining West Point and Waterside Market. (Footage by Morgana Wingard)
