Senator Sanders supports assistance for Ukraine, opposes unvetted offensive military aid to Israel

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders says on the Senate floor prior to an unsuccessful tabling motion and a successful cloture vote to limit final debate on the National Security Act, a 95 billion dollar defensive aid package with resources for Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, a contingent ban on social video app TikTok, Iran sanctions and other policies, that he strongly supports providing Ukraine the military aid it needs to defend against Putin's imperialist war and the Iron Dome to protect Israeli civilians, but firmly opposes the provision giving billions in unfettered offensive military aid to the extremist Israeli government led by Prime Minister Netanyahu then continuing an unprecedented assault against the Palestinian people, as well as language prohibiting funding for UNRWA, the UN organization providing humanitarian relief operations in Gaza.
