Thousands of people take to the streets of Harare calling for President Mugabe to resign

VOICED: As thousands of people take to the streets of Harare and Bula-wayo to call for him to stand down, the nephew of Robert Mugabe says the Zimbabwean president is "ready to die for what is correct". In jubilant scenes people have openly called for the 93-year-old to go -- as his own Zanu-PF party said he must quit or face impeachment. The army, who placed Mr Mugabe under house arrest on Wednesday, say talks with him to find a solution are continuing. While the president of neighbouring South Africa - Jacob Zuma - says he is "cautiously optimisitc" that an amicable solution can be found.
