George Michael loses battle with Sony

George Michael loses battle with Sony; )NAO: (U'lay) ENGLAND: London: Embankment: Howard Hotel: CMS George Michael (Pop singer) speaking at pfk (wearing sunglasses) SOT. - I'm shocked and disappointed at Justice Parker's decision/ I embarked upon these proceedings because at 18 years of age I entered into a contract with CBS records which still has 10 years to go/ Even though I created and paid for my work I will never own or have any rights over it/ I have no control over how my work is exploited/ I have no guarantee it will be released/ I have no right to resign/ Once a decision has been made to sign a contract, however bad, you are expected to live by that decision for the rest of your life/ None of these issues have been addressed in the judgement/ I only ever renegotiated my contract in order to make the best of bad lot/ I only took legal action as a last resort/ Most artists don't have the means or the time to make that decision/ I am convinced the English legal system will not uphold Justice Parker's decision which effectively authorizes professional slavery/ We have very strong grounds for appeal and we hope for an early hearing TX 21.6.94/NAO
