A female panda cub born on September 18 at the Adventure World zoo and theme park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, was given its name, Yuihin, at a ceremony on December 6, 2016, Japan , after a nationwide contest to decide its moniker. Born to male Eimei, 24, and female Rauhin, 16, Yuihin tipped the scale at 197 grams at birth and but has now grown to 4,465 grams. A total of 15 panda cubs have been born over the years at the facility, 14 of them sired by Eimei, who would be a septuagenarian in human years.
