Bill Clinton delivering Royal Albert Hall speech
Bill Clinton delivering Royal Albert Hall speech; - We are in a world that has been good to us, we've been able to get an education, a job, access to the internet, afford movies, to eat out, but it's unequal, unstable and unsustainable / Question 2: How would you like to change the Twenty First Century world? / Or if your my age, how would you like to leave it to your children and grandchildren / My answer is I would like to move from interdependence to integrated communities, locally, nationally and globally / All integrated communities have 3 characteristics in common, whether it's family, work, religious or civic organisations / They all have equal opportunities, to participate, share responsibilities and a genuine sense of belonging / If you have a system of equal opportunities, shared responsibility a genuine belonging then you can overcome the unequal and unstable aspects of the interdependent world / Question 3: What steps are necessary to move the world from interdependence to integrating communities? / Security is a bigger issue than ever before, because a globally interdependent world we all face vulnerabilities we didn't face before, so you do have to have a security policy, to keep big bad things from happening / To minimise the access of of terrorist groups, weapons of mass destruction / To deal with the major security threats that global warming and climate change can cause / If the Greenland icecap keeps melting and the Arctic ice caps melts altogether in the Summer there will be a big rise in the ocean levels in the North Atlantic, which will flood 50 feet of Manhattan Island and interrupt the flow of the Gulf Stream
