After the 1806 Prussian (a Kingdom which held area in Germany, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium, Czech Republic and Switzerland) defeat at the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt, Napoleon took the Quadriga to Paris. Yet after Napoleon's defeat in 1814, and the Prussian occupation of Paris, the Quadriga was restored to Berlin.
