Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari Taisha) is an important Shinto shrine in Kyoto dedicated to Inari, the deity of a good harvest and success in business. Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head of all of Japan's Inari shrines and is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates in vibrant orange. The gates straddle a network of trails leading up to Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds.
