Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor) - Berlin, Germany - stock photo
The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is an 18th-century neoclassical triumphal arch in Berlin and one of the most famous landmarks of Germany. The Brandenburg Gate became infamous in the Cold War, when it was the sad symbol for the division of Berlin and Germany. When Germany was reunified following the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 the Brandenburg Gate quickly reinvented itself into Berlin's symbol of unity.
