KWANONGOMA, SOUTH AFRICA: Zulu Royal princesses (L) and Khonza share a light moment during the annual traditional reed dance held at the residence of King Goodwill Zwelithini in KwaNongoma, about 300 kms north of Durban 09 September 2000. About 3000 Zulu maidens participated in the Reed Dance, where according to lore, a reed will break if the dancer is not a virgin. .The festival promotes celibacy and is gaining recognition as a weapon in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
