The Russian island of Big Diomede, or Ratmanov (right), and the U.S. island of Little Diomede, or Krusenstern (left), are found in the Bering Strait. The 1992-1993 Transsibering Expedition crossed Siberia from Nadym to the Bering Strait, studying and interacting with the indigenous people along the route. | Location: Near Uelen, Russia.
