Riders walk with their horses beneath the Acropolis in Athens on April 9, 2017, during a horseback event for the international exhibition 'documenta 14' re-enacting scenes of the Panathenaic procession, a 5th century BC celebration to honour the goddess Athena, which was immortalised in a frieze atop the Parthenon. The parade takes place from the Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian road that circles the Acropolis, near Aghia Sophia Church, and ends when it reaches Parliament, where it will mark the start of the international art exhibition "documenta 14" held in Kassel, Germany every five years.
