The tiered auditorium gives this modernistic aspect to the Radio City Music Hall during its formal opening to a capacity crowd of over 6,000 persons. The most distinguished of first night audiences was present when the largest theater in the world, first of the 250,000,000 Rockefeller Group to be completed, threw open its doors. It is under the direction of S. L. Rothafel, better known as Roxy, who gathered a glittering array of talent for the grand opening.
