FEB 12 1986 People gathered at Gates Planetarium at Museum of Natural History to look at Haley1s comet. The Planetarium staff had several telescopes set up including this 17 1/2 Inch one through which 7 year old Ryan Paterson viewed the comet. With him is Midge Kral. The comet appeared as as fuzzy ball, the fuzz caused by gaseous matter surrounding it and atmospheric conditions. The comet can be viewed in Denver up through the 17th, then there is too much of the moon1s light. We will be able to see again starting march until mid April but this time it will be in the eastern instead of southwestern sky.
