(Original Caption) 2/4/50-New York, New York- A group of American Scientists gathered at Columbia Univ. today for a meeting of the American Physical Society,issued a joint statement,that in their opinion "No nation has the right to use such a bomb" as the hydrogen bomb, "No matter how righteous its cause. They said it is no longer a weapon of war, but a means of extermination of whole populations. "The assembled scientists are left to right: 1st row-C.B. Pegram, S.K. Allison,B.
