DUBLIN, IRELAND: Members of the Irish Army prepare their equipment at Farmleigh, where the EU family photo of the 25 heads of state will take place, in Dublin 30 April, 2004. Irish police are laying on a huge security operation, fearful of May Day anti-globalisation protestors spoiling the EU party with 25 heads of state and government due in town. All Garda (Irish police) leave has been cancelled and about 2,500 soldiers will be on standby, in a huge security operation which is estimated to be costing one million euros (1.2 million dollars) a day.
