Double-Decker Bus in Fog

(Original Caption) A London double-decker bus, seemingly riding in space, makes its way along a fog-blanketed embankment with "fog lamps" to help it along as the city continued in its "blackout" for the fourth day. After lifting slightly in some sections, the worst fog in history closed in again on most of London yesterday as officials estimated losses at more than $10,000,000. The city's railroads, airports & docks remained paralyzed & officials expressed fear that perishable cargoes in freight would spoil before the fog lifted.
