Refugee camp under heavy snowfall in Greece - Softex camp Greece
Hundreds of refugees face the extreme low temperatures in northern Greece in camps in or around Thessaloniki city on 11 January 2017. In Softex camp the temperature was -8°C with real feeling sense below -13°C and there was about 20cm of snowfall during a half day heaby snowstorm. The tents were snow covered. There is no running water as the pipes froze and many tents don't have electricity and heating. Also many refugees without document have been forced to leave the camp.
