Guatemalans To Receive Aid Package Announced by US Vice-President Kamala Harris

US Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Monday a humanitarian aid package of 310 million dollars for El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala after a virtual meeting with Guatemalan president Alejandro Giammattei. 55 million dollars will will go towards addressing food insecurity, pushed by the pandemic and by the social inequality. According to the Central American Integration System, 7.3 million people suffer from food insecurity in the Northern Triangle.
