(Original Caption) Belfast, Northern Ireland: Northern Ireland's Chief of Staff Major General Tony Dyball inspects a Roman Catholic barricade in Falls Road district Sept. 16 in company of Catholic priest identified as Father Murphy. British troops began task of pulling down the barricade without resistance from Catholics who had vowed to fight such action. Earlier in the day, Roman Catholic Bishop William Philbin was shouted down as he tearfully urged Catholics to tear down their barricades. 9/16/1969
