Marines on Ground Maneuvers During Nuclear Test
Battle-hardened US marines take part in a tactical exercise a few seconds after an atomic bomb was detonated during the 1952 Operation Tumbler-Snapper in Yucca Flats, Nevada. Over 2,000 Marines participated in the maneuver, which was set up as an atomic amphibious attack.
