Senator Van Hollen press statement as House moves tax reform

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen tells reporters that a tax reform bill is a giveaway to big multinational corporations financed largely by raising taxes on millions of middle-class Americans, that the big tax cuts for corporations would be made permanent, leading to an immediate tax increase on middle class Americans and families left holding the bag at the end of the day. Van Hollen says deductions for medical expenses, education, teachers buying books for their schoolkids and others would not see the break given to corporations and hedge funds.
